Lost something at a Korean hotel? How to get it back
Left an item in your hotel room or lobby in Korea? Contact the front desk or housekeeping of the specific property. Here's how hotel lost & found works and what to say.
Need the contact details?See verified phone numbers, hours, and policies in the directory.Hotel lost & found is handled per property — by the front desk, guest services, or housekeeping of the hotel you stayed at.
Step 1: Contact the property directly
Call or email the front desk / guest services of the specific hotel, with your room number, stay dates, and a clear description of the item. Housekeeping usually logs items found during cleaning. Major chains are in the hotels directory.
Step 2: Confirm storage and shipping
Ask how long they'll hold it and whether they can ship it to you — most hotels will, at your cost. Get a tracking number.
Step 3: If it's already been turned in
Unclaimed items are sometimes handed to police after a holding period and appear on Lost112 (lost112.go.kr).
Tips
Contact the hotel as soon as you realize — the sooner housekeeping is alerted, the more likely the item is set aside. Reference your reservation to speed things up.
Prefer help in English?
International hotels usually have English-speaking staff, but smaller properties may not. If coordinating a shipment from abroad is a hurdle, we can recover and forward your item.
