Seoul Metro lost and found: which center to call

Lost something on the Seoul subway (Lines 1–8)? Call the Lost & Found center for your line — City Hall (1–2), Chungmuro (3–4), Wangsimni (5, 8), or Taereung (6–7). Here's the full list and process.

Seoul Metro runs four Lost & Found centers, split by line. Call the one for the line you rode — that's where your item goes.

Seoul Metro Lost & Found centers

  • Lines 1 & 2 — City Hall Lost & Found Center: 02-6110-1122
  • Lines 3 & 4 — Chungmuro Lost & Found Center: 02-6110-3344
  • Lines 5 & 8 — Wangsimni Lost & Found Center: 02-6311-6765
  • Lines 6 & 7 — Taereung Lost & Found Center: 02-6311-6766

Hours: weekdays 09:00–18:00 (closed weekends and holidays). All contacts are in the Seoul Metro directory entry.

What to tell them

Have ready: the line, the time you rode, the direction or last station, and the car number (printed inside the carriage). A clear description of the item speeds things up.

Storage and disposal

Items are held about 7 days at the Lost & Found center, then transferred to the police station, where they're kept for roughly 9 months before passing to the national treasury. Search Lost112 if your item has already moved to police.
