Lost your phone in Korea
Phones are the most common item travelers lose in Korea — usually in taxis, on the subway, or at airport security. The good news: Korea's lost-and-found system handles them well, and Find My / Find My Device often pinpoints exactly where it is. Here's the right order to work through.
How LFK helps
- 1
Lock and locate it first
Sign into iCloud (Find My) or Google (Find My Device) from any browser. Mark the phone as lost — this locks the screen and shows a custom message with your contact info. Note the last known location; that often tells us which venue to contact.
- 2
Send us the location and circumstances
Submit a free report with: where you last had it, the last known location from Find My, the make/model, and any case description. The more we know, the faster we can search the right venues in Korean.
- 3
We call the venue in Korean
Whether it's a Seoul taxi company, a subway lost-and-found, a hotel, or Incheon Airport's office — we make the calls in Korean, follow up daily, and confirm with you in your language.
- 4
We pick it up and ship it home
Once located, we collect the phone, package it carefully, and ship it via EMS or express courier to your address. Insurance and tracking included.
Frequently asked
What if I disabled Find My before the trip?
We can still help — it just means searching by description and location instead. Provide the make, model, color, case, and last-seen venue, and we'll work the lost-and-found channels.
Can the phone be turned on / unlocked by the finder?
If you've enabled Find My / Find My Device's Lost Mode and screen lock, no. The phone is bricked to anyone but you. That's why locking it before reporting is the most important first step.
How long does recovery usually take?
Most phone cases resolve in 24–72 hours once we know which venue has it. Some take longer for items in transit (e.g., a phone left on a regional bus or train).
What about the eSIM and phone number?
Contact your carrier immediately to suspend the line and freeze any roaming charges. The phone hardware itself can still be recovered separately.
